Amanda DoAmaral is the Founder and CEO of Fiveable. She is an educator, activist, and entrepreneur who’s dedicated to making educational opportunities more equitable for students. Prior to founding Fiveable, Amanda served as a public school teacher in Oakland, CA, where she identified a critical need for access and support.

“We built Fiveable as an after school platform, but now there is no after school. So we’ve been shifting and adapting as quickly as we can. Mostly we have seen a huge uptick in users because everyone is looking for remote learning resources now, so the behavior of the market has changed. And we’ve been able to raise more money as a result. But there’s a ton of unknowns for us, just like with every business.”
